Renovation and Restoration
In 1978 my late husband, Colin Greenly and I moved from our rented New York City loft to an abandoned 100 year old dairy barn with 7 additional buildings. After 6 years of full time renovation and restoration, while living in a 1965 Airstream trailer, a living area was finally complete. Later, a few buildings were removed, the loft of the main barn became our studios, and the site was transformed into gardens terraced with stone walls. In the following years, we continued to expnd our studios within the barn. In 2019, with the help of Brian Auwarter and his son Tyler, the remaining unfinished space was transformed into a sculpture studio for Brian.
