Renovation and Restoration
In 1978 my late husband, Colin Greenly and I moved from our rented New York City loft to an abandoned 100 year old dairy barn with 7 additional buildings. After 6 years of full time renovation and restoration, while living in a 1965 Airstream trailer, 1,200 square feet of living area was finally complete. 2.700 square feet of studio space would follow over the years. Three buildings were removed, the loft of the main barn became our studios, and the barn yard was transformed into gardens terraced by stone walls. In 2019, with the help of Brian Auwarter and his son Tyler, the remaining unfinished space became a sculpture studio for Brian. Brain and I recently completed the outside concrete and stone workspace.
